For some time I’ve been searching for a way to make brownies from scratch without losing that brownie mix feel. It took a lot of brownie making and a whole lot of brownie testing (someone had to do it!) but I think I finally found it, and gosh am I excited to share it with you.

These simple brownies have a texture like “box mix” brownies but are actually made totally from scratch. There’s no crazy method here, you just whisk everything together in a bowl. And they are exploding with fudgy chocolate flavor and are just the right combination of cakey and fudgy/chewy. They even have that classic brownie “crack” on the top. Everyone needs a good, solid brownie recipe under their belt. This is the one!

Copycat Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bars

These Cranberry Bliss Bars are simply amazing! They are soft and chewy and FULL of cranberry and white chocolate flavor. The addition of orange and ginger amplifies the flavor and ties everything together, plus it makes them even more like the Starbucks version. If you’ve been looking for easy Christmas desserts this season, go no further. These blondies are simple to make but deliver big on flavor.

This recipe is inspired by the classic white chocolate cranberry cookie that’s so popular on Christmas cookie trays. These Ice Cream Sandwiches Could Never Get Old!

Frozen desserts are hugely responsible for getting me through the summer. With these classic ice cream sandwiches, I can cool down after a day in the sun and treat my sweet tooth at the same time. It’s hard to believe how easy they are to make!

The “cookies” are adapted from these cakey cookies, which are so wonderfully tender, I figured they would stay soft in the freezer like the original. Well, I was right on the money! The rich cookie bases pair perfectly with the smooth, refreshing ice cream in between them. Every bite is a burst of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry bliss.

These ice cream sandwiches were a huge hit in our house! The kids and the hubs all loved them. They were the treat of choice everyday until they were gone. They really are even better than the store-bought version because each flavor is present in every bite. So good!

An Easy Strawberry Pretzel Dessert

Strawberries and pretzels…in a salad?

For those who haven’t tried Strawberry Pretzel Salad before, it seems like a unique combination. To be fair, it is. But it’s also so amazingly good. It’s also not technically a salad either but rather a 3 layer dessert. How and why it became called a “pretzel salad” is unknown, though the recipe has origins with JELLO itself and has long been a popular treat in the South. It seems that JELLO has tried to change the name to the more accurate dessert bars but, well, pretzel salad has stuck!

Whether you want to call it Strawberry Pretzel Salad or Strawberry Pretzel Dessert Bars is up to you. Regardless, this is an easy strawberry dessert that is FULL of flavor and everyone will love.

The combination of the cream layer with the strawberry layer is always a hit, but add in the salty pretzel crust and it becomes next-level good. The perfect combination of sweet and salty.

If you take this to a party or potluck, don’t plan on bringing any leftovers home! My husband was pretty much ready to guard the whole pan and fight off any takers, just to make sure he got an extra slice. It was so good, I’d gladly have put up a fight.

It’s truly addicting and also very easy to make. Because it needs time to set, it’s also perfect for making ahead. You just don’t want to make it too far in advance, since the strawberries won’t hold up forever. You can make it the morning of the day you need it, or even the night before. That makes it perfect for days when you don’t have any time to cook but still need a dessert – just prep the night before and you’re ready to go!
